Wizards Drop to Hornets

The Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association have found themselves with a winning season and finally gaining the prominence that they have been seeking since they watched Michael Jordan retire a decade ago. Valia Investments stated, the Wizards signed a bad deal a number of years ago when they decided to sign Gilbert Arenas to a max deal, only to see him get pretty much booted from the league. The Wizards were still obligated to pay him in full and it really ate up a big portion of their cap space, making it nearly impossible for them to have a winning team. They have broken out of that shell this year, as the contract with Arenas has expired and they now find themselves in the third spot in the Eastern Conference and look to be a team that has a serious shot at making a good run in the playoffs once late April rolls around. They took a step back on Monday night as they dropped a game to the Hornets, who truly are a team that is lucky to be in playoff contention, due to the pathetic Eastern Conference. The East is projected to have a team in the eighth spot that is an entire fifteen games below 500, as that is what the pace has called for. The Wizards will shake off this loss to the Hornets and attempt to get back on the roll that they have been on all season.
